Edinburgh trams company to ask government for more money

The company responsible for Edinburgh’s tram network is set to ask the Scottish government for £10 million to prepare for a new line that hasn’t even been given the green light. The SNP opposed the re-introduction of trams, and Finance Secretary John Swinney vowed not to bankroll the scheme beyond £500 million.
