On Wednesday this week we set off for Bridge of Allan in what seemed like the never-ending rain. We were there to dedicate the new Chalmers Suite of halls, and with us was Adrian Shaw, the Church’s climate change officer. His interest lay in the project because of the sustainable heating systems installed – both geothermal, drawing heat from the ground and solar, using light. The congregation is to be applauded for taking such a bold step and for their commitment to the environment, which, I believe, will become a model for others to follow.
